Brave Soul Collective
On Monday December 9, 2013 at 8pm, Brave Soul Collective (BSC) celebrates its 7th anniversary by returning to Warehouse Theater with a performance of "Passages," a new program in observance of World AIDS Day 2013.
Seven years ago, in the winter of 2006, BSC presented "Brave Souls UNPLUGGED" - its Warehouse Theater debut. An all-encompassing artistic work which showcased theater, spoken word, and live music, "UNPLUGGED" set a precedent and laid the foundation for what have become some of Washington, DC's most anticipated events.
This third and final BSC production of 2013 rounds out the year with a performance to help mobilize both the African American and LGBTQ communities around HIV/AIDS education & awareness, and to reduce stigma and infection rates.
Touching on a variety of issues and topics such as; relationships, sexuality, infidelity, family, overcoming adversity, financial hardships, HIV testing, treatment, and much more, this special one night only engagement will also include compelling scenes from previous BSC 2013 performances, "Balancing Acts" and "Subject To CHANGE...".
Specially-discounted ($10) tickets for this performance will be available in advance, online for a limited time beginning Monday, November 25th, and can be purchased by visiting: http://bit.ly/Passages_BSC . Tickets will be $15 at the door, on the night of the event. FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY
Free HIV testing will be provided on the night of the event by Us Helping Us, People Into Living.
